On embarking on a journey or coming back, a Muslim traveller embraces and kisses his wife in public. Is this permissible for him?

It is not haram to do that, if the rules of appropriate covering [of the clothes] and hijab are observed and as long as it does not entice lust [in other people]; it is preferable to refrain from this kind of behaviour.
