Ruling 1478 — Prayer (Ṣalāh)
If a person does not know about the occurrence of an eclipse and after the eclipse is over he realises that there was a total eclipse, he must make up the ṣalāt al‑āyāt. However, if he realises that it was a partial eclipse, then making it up is not obligatory for him.
