Istifta 14962 — Prostration
A reciter of the Holy Qur'an recites a verse of an obligatory Sajdah, on hearing it from the television or radio is it obligatory on us to do sajdah in this case?
Answer
It is not obligatory if it's just a recording repeated on the audio or television, however, if its a live broadcast then it is obligatory to perform the prostration (Sajdah).
