Ruling 1621 — Fasting (Ṣawm)

If a person is certain that by burping something will come out of his throat, and were he to burp it would be in a manner that could be called ‘vomiting’, then in such a case, he must not burp intentionally. However, there is no problem [in him burping] if he is not certain about this.
